Πειραιάς, 1959
Ο Γιάννης Αδαμάκης γεννήθηκε το 1959 στον Πειραιά. Συνδύασε σπουδές οικονoμικών και ζωγραφικής. Το 2020 εκλέχτηκε μέλος του Διοικητικού Συμβουλίου του Επιμελητηρίου Εικαστικών Τεχνών Ελλάδος (Ταμίας και Υπεύθυνος Επιτροπής Διεθνων Σχέσεων).
Έχει παρουσιάσει τη δουλειά του σε 33 ατομικές και πολλές ομαδικές εκθέσεις σε Ελλάδα, Βέλγιο, Γαλλία, Γερμανία, Κύπρο, Πολωνία, Ρωσία και Τουρκία, ανάμεσα στις οποίες οι διεθνείς Art fairs: “Art Athina” (Αθήνα, 1994, 1998), “Art Jonction” (Νίκαια, Γαλλία, 1997), “Lineart” (Γάνδη, Βέλγιο, 2000), “Art Paris” (Παρίσι, Γαλλία, 2004) και “Art Thessaloniki” (Θεσσαλονίκη, 2018).
Έχει επίσης συμμετάσχει σε τρεις διεθνείς εικαστικές συναντήσεις: στο Τσερεποβέτς (Ρωσία, 1998), στο Μπίλεφεντ (Γερμανία, 2000) και στο Κουσάντασι (Τουρκία, 2016).
Πολλές εκδηλώσεις για το έργο του, αλλά και άλλα θέματα σχετικά με την Τέχνη, έχουν λάβει χώρα με τη συμμετοχή του, στο «Ίδρυμα Θεοχαράκη» (Αθήνα, 2017), στο Πολυτεχνείο Κρήτης (TEDx – «Διαρροή Φωτός», Χανιά, 2017), στον «Ιανό» (Αθήνα, 2016, 2018), στο “Polis Art cafe” (Αθήνα, 2018), στο «Μουσείο Κατσίγρα» (Δημοτική Πινακοθήκη Λάρισας, 2018), στο “Artville” (Αθήνα, 2018) και αλλού.
Κείμενά του έχουν δημοσιευτεί σε περιοδικά, εφημερίδες και εικαστικούς καταλόγους.
Ζει στην Αθήνα, όπου συνεργάζεται με τη Γκαλερί Ζουμπουλάκη.
Giannis Adamakis was born in 1959 in Piraeus. He studied both finances and painting. In 2020 he was elected as member of the Administrative Council of the Chamber of Fine Arts of Greece (Cashier and in charge of the International Relationships Committee). He has presented his work in 33 personal, as well as many group exhibitions in Greece, Belgium, France, Germany, Cyprus, Poland, Russia, Turkey and among them, the international Art fairs: “Art Athina” (Athens, 1994, 1998), “Art Junction” (Nice, France, 1997), “Lineart” (Ghent, Belgium, 2000), “Art Paris” (Paris, France, 2004) and “Art Thessaloniki” (Thessaloniki, 2018). He has also participated in three international visual art meetings: in Cherepovets (Russia, 1998), in Bielefeld (Germany, 2000) and in Kusadasi (Turkey, 2016). Many events for his work and for other art related matters, have taken place, along with his participation, in “Theocharaki’s Foundation” (Athens, 2017), in the Technical University of Crete (TEDx – “Light Leak”, Chania, 2017), in “Ianos” (Athens, 2016, 2018), in “Polis Art café” (Athens, 2018), in “Katsigra Museum” (Municipal Art Gallery of Larissa, 2018), in “Artville” (Athens, 2018) and in other places. His writings have been published in magazines, newspapers, and visual art catalogues. He lives in Athens and collaborates with Zoumboulakis Gallery
